Are you wanting a manual or automatic?

if you are wanting a manual i would go with a new Process NP435 4 speed they are the best manual transmission ever made i believe. i have one with 312,000 miles on it, no rebiulds or nothing and it shifts as smooth as it did when it was new.and they are very heavy duty they used them in 1/2, 3/4, 1 ton trucks. you can find them in '64-'87 Ford trucks, '62-'91 dodges, '63-'72 GMs, and '64-'85 Internationals. they have a good low granny gear for crawling on the trail. and they were bolted to the 302 on some of the ford trucks. heres the link to some info. on them http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=New+Process+NP+435&btnG=Google+Search hope this helps
