I have a 1993 ranger and it dont really want to move when it cold. And shifts hard when it does move when its cold. could a simple tranny srvice fix this. I ask cause it dont want to sink to much money in to it. I am wanting to park my 2010 gmc for awhile and drive the ranger. That way my new truck will stay new. Please help.....

Well, a tranny service is never a bad idea, but that sounds a lot like low fluid to me.

Check the fluid with the truck at temp, running in park, on a level surface. If it's low, add 1/4 qt at a time until it gets to the right level. If it's not bright red, get the trans serviced.
