tranny noise

im havin bad whining noises cmon from the tranny when its in neutral and in 5th goin down the road.i push in the clutch and it all goes away?i have an 88 ranger manual trans and its the one that takes gear oil.i think mazda,can any1 help?oo and i jus recently changed the fluid in it.

Doesn't do it in other gears too? Might be input shaft bearing but that usually makes noise in all gears. Countershaft bearings usually make noise in all except 4th gear (one to one...straight through) drive.
 
nope only in neutral and 5th goin down the road.it sounds kinda like a waterbong if that makes any since,or blowing through a straw into a glass of water
