Tranny help

Hi guys......i smoked my tranny last night ...i went to check it out this morning and the case has a hole and the tail is cracked.......as I look around I cant find one I can trust....
99 ranger 3.0 4x4 at ... Its a 4r44e....
As the case is broke I cant rebuild.....
is their a diffrent tranny that will work?
Or should I find a good case to rebuild?

Yes.

Having an auto trans and a 3.0 you are kinda screwed. The computer won't like you moving too far away year wise and the 3.0 was an odd-ball engine, no bell matches and not super common.

I'm not realy looking to convert it to a stick I just am having a hard time finding a good one. I realy would hate to spend the money and time doing it just to find out it needs a rebuild.....
