tranny help needed

I've got a 94 Ranger w/3.0/A4LD/2WD. Just began slipping , it shifts but I can't feel it . Also won't go into kickdown. Is there any other tranny that I can look into swapping in? C4?

i know the feeling

The best thing i can tell you is find a low mileage tranny or rebuild it . Do not change to a different trans too much work involved no other tranny will work

You are looking at a rebuild, replace or swap in a 5 speed. The 3.0 is a unique bellhousing pattern so there will be no factory swap aside from a 5 speed out of another 3.0L engine truck. I don't believe there is an adapter to use to put another transmission behind them either.
