The pass side bolt seems to have seized itself to the inside of the bushing sleeve. I've tried heat, pb blaster, and the bfh with no avail. The drivers side came right out with a few whacks of the aforementioned bfh. I have all the bolts holding the m5od to the back of the engine off, and this is the only thing holding me back. If it was on a lift I could just let it swing out of the way. Any ideas?

Wish I had a sawzall right about now (funk soul brother). Just going to hacksaw the bolt off on the other side of the disc that's seized. The rubber part of the bushing is kinda f'ed at this point, and I don't see replacements for sale. Any cross member from a ranger/explorer with the m5od is the same, correct? It's junkyard time tomorrow.

if you have the one with the bushings, theres a better replacement. it bolts straight to the frame. it bolts to the side of the frame rail on one side with 3 bolts and it bolts to the bottom of the frame rail with one bolt on the other side. mine came off a 91 explorer. other than that i couldnt tell you specifically what trucks they came off of

Thanks for the tip. I picked one of those up today along with a nice pair of the striped cloth eddie bauer seats from the same 'sploder. Inflatable lumbar support here I come!

Be careful. Some years' power lumbar seats were prone to lighting the driver's butt on fire. Check NHTSA for safety recalls for that Exploder as well as for your Ranger.

Do make sure you fuse the circuit somehow.
