95 f250 with powerstroke and automatic tranny. coming home tonight and the a.d. lite started flashing, bumped the o.d. button and it came out of o.d., then proceeded to bump the o.d. button and the o.d. engaged. bottom line it all is working just the flashing lite (O.D.). meaning? any help would be appreciated.

means transmission is in "Limp" mode. and supplying full line pressure through the trans. it either felt a slip or something else, but get it serviced soon. my ATS trans was in limp for 8 months, it slipped in overdrive,(even after servicing_ so i just left it out. i just swapped in a 5 speed to permanently cure the problem

i believe "limp" is self explanatory, but does the computer "derate" the engine output or ????
