tranny/clutch grinding

When im enganging my clutch in 1st or reverse i get an intermittnat grinding noise. Nothing once the clutch is all the way engaged, or when its all the way out. What could it be, throw out bearing? pressure plate? Im pulling the motor soon, so ill fix this then.
