I used to have a 1990 Ford Ranger custom 2 tone paint. I ended up scrapping it and getting something a bit more reliable. So now i have a 1994 Ford Ranger. Both had a 2.3l. then i drove a 1997 and the not hitting 3500rpm at 75 was nice. Well anyways i was wondering what i needed to buy to get my 1994 run as fast as a 1997. I think it would be the trannsmission but is it easy to swap or a pain.
Thanks,
Mike

'94 and '97 are the same tranny wise, the rear axle gear ratio is most likely the difference you are referring to...

So is that what would cause the 97 to be able to go 110 something and my 94 only to barely hit 85?

im sick of these threads. just. saying.
