Tranfer Swap Question

I have a 2000 ranger that has a 4.0l and a 5 speed that I swapped a transfer out of a 86 or 87 ranger into. It works perfectly but I do not have the likage to engage it so to engage I have to crawl underneath and engage. I was wondering what would be the best floor plate, shifter and linkage to install so it would be easily operatable. Thanks in Advance
