a few days ago on tv i seen the very ending of what seemed to be a trailer park boys movie. it wasnt 'countdown to liquor day' or the first movie,, i only seen the last 5 or 10 mins and it was ricky and julian and bubbles (i think) going in the mall and breaking one of the big bubble gum machines to get all the money from it..ring any bells?
thanks!

Yeah, I saw that a couple years ago, but apparently it was way before it came out... I didn't really know what it was when I saw it. I've since discovered the TV episodes. It's funny stuff.

yeah? what i seen looked kind of newer, i know the original movie was just black and white,, this was full color and i never seen it before, and ive seen alot of that show

your talking about the first TPB movie "the big dirty" Not as good as the tv shows by far though.
the black and white one is the pilot. The christmas episode is my favorite, its a prequel so it shows how things came to be.

Technically the only 2 movies were Big dirty and countdown to liqour day, there are a few hour long special episodes like the Christmas one, The pilot, Cart Boy, (kind of a history of bubbles episode) But thats not technically considered part of tpb just has some of the characters.

say goodnight to the bad guys is another one of the special episodes

I don't know what it was called, I just remember Julian had whiskey on the rocks no matter where he went. Plus who can forget the "It's heli-c**ksucker in the sky!"?
:icon_rofl:

Believe it or not, the black and white original movie was an independent film not meant to turn into a tv series or movies. John (Julian) was approached by Mike Clattenburg at a film festival because he thought the little film had incredible potential. It actually took them forever to find a network that was willing to put the show on the air, and they couldn't go as far as they wanted to with the humor. Bubbles was never originally a character for the original movie, he was the sound tech but everyone thought he was way too funny to not be in it. The tv series is now finally over for good, but Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles never appear out of character and are working on a new tv series that stars those three characters. The first four seasons were filmed in an actual trailer park with actual people in it that were kinda pissed about the show interrupting their lives. Out in Nova Scotia Mike Smith owns a restaurant called "Bubbles Mansion" and I hear the drinks are cheap but pretty strong.

Randy can also do an incredible Bubbles impression.
