Traction Lock?

I think my 07 ranger 4x4 sport equiped with a 4.0L has a 28 spline 8.8 rear diff.... but I was just wondering if it has a traction lock device in it. I know usualy spin boath tires but when I am really stck and not moving only 1 spins. Just wondering

Jack up the rear end, put the transmission in neutral. rotate the driveshaft, if both wheels turn in the same direction it has some kind of traction device (limited slip etc.) if only one wheel spins or they turn in opposite directions the diff is open.

Well if I go loosley by the tag desplayed on the link above it looks like I have a 4.10 ratio with a Limited slip and that its a 8.8 rear the other numbers arent the same as the tag in the link. ill try to write it here.

4L10 88 7020 the dot is where the tag attaches to the axel

That would be really cool if it had the 4.10 ratio!!! but I could be tottaly wrong bc the tag doesnt exactly resemble that of the tag in the link but I hope it does!

4L10 88 does mean 4.10 gears/ limited slip (trac lock) and 8.8.

Well thats just frickin awsome! I have thought from day one that it had a 3.73 ratio and I always knew that the fx4 had the 4.10 but I thought it was weird bc my ratio feels so low that any lower would be usles and thats bc its a 4.10 !!!!
