Hey all, I have a 2010 Sport 4x4 and my dream is to do an SAS. Searched high and low on all the Ranger sites I could and couldn't find an answer. What I'm wondering is how the SAS will affect the "AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control and Electronic Stability Control"?

Will I need to disable them or modify them at all? According to my owners manual any change at all may adversely affect the different controls. Would disabling them be as simple as finding the right fuse?

The truck will be a daily driver with trail riding as a weekend activity. As much as I hate it sometimes, the different controls come in handy in the Canadian Winters.

Cheers, Ace.

I personally don't know of any solid axles that anyone has worked out using the ABS on the front...

not saying it couldn't be done, just don't know of any...

so, yes I would say it could be just as easy as pulling the ABS fuse...

maybe some others with more advanced knowledge will chime in....

good luck:icon_thumby:

If you can retrofit sensors & tone rings to the front rotors somehow, I don't see why it can't be done.

'94-'96 Broncos I know had ABS sensors on their front D44, maybe you can somehow adapt them to whatever D44 you're using? (I'm sure some fab/drilling/welding may be needed, but when there's a will, there's generally a way) It seems to me there's gotta be some tone rings & sensors from something out there that would work for you.

Unfortunately that's about all I can offer though, as I've yet to actually try it.

I would be surprised if the tone ring and sensors in a late model d60 wouldn't work. Best bet would be a superduty d60 to keep all of that junk working. Otherwise just yank the abs fuse and move on with life.
