I'm building my rear suspension on my 2wd 85 ranger that I drag race. And I did the flip kit too put the rear ontop of the leaf springs instead of underneath, but now I can't find traction bars for it too save my life and I need them. Any help will help thanks guys

Yeah, preferably a set that bolts up too the ubolts but I could use a set like that too, nobody makes them that I can find for the first gen rangers

The rearend configuration is the same throughout the years.

My Son's 93 has a 7.5 w/3.73 LS out of a 88 Bronco II. So as far as slapper bars go, if they're listed for a different year, they will still work on earlier ones.

Lakewood Suspension 21905 - Lakewood Traction Bars for Trucks, are these the tractions bars u used on ur sons truck? And if so did the bolt too the botto of the ubolts? Or around the spring itself with clamps from the kit? Those are the only ones I could find.

You may not agree - but I've been drag racing since the 60's and I think that lowering a truck/car that will be driven primarily at the track is counterproductive - unless you plan on running, say, 130+ mph. You're inquiring about traction bars, so I ASSume that you're trying to improve traction or at least eliminate/reduce tire shake on launch. To that end, the higher the center of gravity (CG), the more weight will be transferred to the rear tires on takeoff.

But, since you've already got time and money invested in dropping it, I would look into a set of CalTracs, if I were you. They won't have a specific application for a Ranger with a flipped axle, but if you supply the spring-pad dimensions, they probably have one that'll fit. HERE are details on a 2.3T Ranger that has run 11.03 without flipping the diff (VIDEO). He uses a set of "homemade" CalTracs, that have rear-attachment struts welded to the housing below the factory spring pad and, IIRC, runs 1.5-ish 60-ft times. My 2¢......
