do NOT use 3/4 - 3/4. use 3/4 - 5/8
because the 3/4-3/4 has almost 13,000lb less static load rating.... this is beause the two joints both use the exact same body, it is very common for the casing around the ball to break on a 3/4-3/4.
Wow, didn't catch that when I was ordering mine. I got the 3/4x3/4 with 3/4-5/8 high mis. spacers. If you get the 3/4x5/8 and wanna run spacers you're stuck with a 1/2" bolt. I don't feel like looking up the specs on grade 8 material but you'd have to see if a 1/2" bolt in double shear can handle more stress than the 3/4x3/4 load rating. If not, you'd be better off with the 3/4x3/4 with spacers and a 5/8" bolt; unless of course you run the 3/4x5/8 w/o spacers, but that kinda defeats the point of running a heim IMO.
Just something to think about.
Haha I suck. I've been learning a lot from you guys. I didn't even realize they made those type of spacers, I thought they all fit inside the heim ball. Went back and browsed Ballistic and sure as shit there they were.
I stand corrected, get the 3/4x5/8 with the standard spacers. Disregard my previous post lol.
I am running modified rubicon express bar for a coil sprung jeep. I have run heims before. They get loose too fast for my liking.
