Toys

My pleasure. (and thanks)

One of these years I'm going to need to repaint both of them... The So Cal desert sun isn't exactly very nice to paint (or dashboards too for that matter lol).

Oh it could be worse... rust.

Yes, mine could use a repaint too. Eventually lol. Luckily there's not much rust to worry about here in Texas, just lots of heat and humidity lol.

Well I don't have much of a cab floor in my truck lol and I have peely paint so yeah I can't win for nothin here also I can't get my trans to shift right it's bout to get full manual valve body and I'll shift the dam thing myself. Then I'll get on my SAS!!!!! But I drug the heap o shit over to my house to work out of my tiny 1ish car garage with minimal tools cause my brothers shop has way to much going on now.

Also has anyone adapted a old 70s Ford PS pump to the ranger steering box?? I need the right line or at least the right ends

My Sport Trac needs a new electrical box under the hood (corrosion issue). The Ranger needs the oil leak fixed (I think it is the drain plug lock washer that is the issue), body work done (PO side swiped something on the the drivers side ext cab), windshield was replaced yesterday, windows tinted, 2/3 or 3/4 drop done and the audio system needs a complete over haul. I have a wedding to plan, honeymoon to pay for and a reception to pay for. I forgot the puppy we are about to get so add training, house breaking, crate training and socialization to the list.

Thanks mines a v8 swap and the all steel pump its all round no straight to it I can't remember the name of the style tho. there's a nice set of floor pans here on my local c-list

Buying pans are the cheap/easy part. LMC only gets about $40 a pan (and I only need one) It is the cutting the huge hole in the floor and fitting them correctly that have me kind of nervous.

Well with your truck yes. With mine not so much its pretty much one big learning opportunity for me if it doesn't look good or isn't perfect its whatever I can always make it a wheelin rig ha ha

I'm with Mightyford on that one. Cutting the pan probably isn't that difficult, but welding is an art . And I suck at it lol.

Cutting metal isn't that hard. It is getting the point of "and today boys and girls I will cut a freaking huge hole in the floor of my all time favorite earthly possession" that makes it hard.

Well as long as it's not getting to the point that you're worried about putting your feet through the floor boards it can wait

Yeah agreed while I really like my truck but my whole cab floor is bout gone I I can grab my seat a pick it up about 4-6 inches and when you push on the floor you can here the rusty crusty floor ha ha....dam this is gonna suck

When I get brave enough to knock it in the head and pull the box and have the cab corners done I will do the floor before I paint it.

That's probably best anyway. Knock it all out at once. Gives ya time to get up the guts to cut on her too.
By the way I really like what you've done to her already. I need to find a good 302 candidate and just do it. Been seriously considering having one built for me. There's lots of shops around here that use to build dirt track cars. No more track so hopefully they've got left over engines and need the work.

So I hit the salvage yard today looking for stuff for the BII interior. Lucked into a 86 BII XLT, same color interior as my base model. Stole all the interior from the doors back, better looking then mine lol. And the console too. Would've got the seats but the fronts were already gone. Gotta clean em up, paint and install. Very happy.
