The only reason you don't hear about any other mfg's pedals sticking is because toyota is one of the only brands that people brag up to be "such a great brand" so when something goes wrong, the mfg. with the "highest rank" will get thrown out to dry.

At any given moment you can select your most hated car company and skewer them like cat meat. You have 3 or 4 friends with a truck that 3-4 million were built and think you have a solid sample-set. I don't know anyone with a Toyota that ran away and killed the owner--there were 23 out of 23 million. A comet has the same odds of wiping out your house that one of your friends has of having the pedal stick on his Toyota, Ford or Duesenberg.

How about Ford cruise control fires? There's a whole legal industry created to making money from it. I can find whatever you want, or don't want. When you build several million cars a year, there are problems.
