Toyota runaway ramp too funny!

That kid posts retarded crap almost all the time. Don't be shocked.

I must skip over them all the time. I felt like smacking myself in the forehead when I read what he posted. That's how bad it was.

I had the exact same problem but with cheap K-Mart floor mats.

OI! Don't get mad at the Kmart floor mats! I sell those to people! :D

I have a pair of the little ford floor mats that they sell at Kmart in the back of my car. They work pretty good but they slide all over. I think it's a problem that all floormats have because the stock floor mats in the windstar slide up under the pedal too. No floor mat hooks, like what my car has. It isn't possible for my front floor mats to slide.

Wow did you two just startin bitchin about what i say to mess up a good thread, did you really just post that, really? My screens not working but really?

There is an '09 Focus complaint, if you searched. And an Escape one. My dad's '87 Ranger had a throttle cable sticking problem early in its life--2.9 liter. And it had the TFI failure where the engine would cut off suddenly--sometimes when it would have been good to have the motor running, like accelerating into traffic or cutting across a busy 4-lane.

But I don't have a dog in the fight. Ten plus years ago when Toyota was still on the upswing they were great. But having equaled then passed GM as the largest manufacturer on the planet, they have suffered some pains. They have lost control of suppliers because it takes a hell of a lot of suppliers to feed the assembly lines.

How long ago was the Explorer roll-over problem scalding our hides? Ford ignored it, blamed it on the tires, whatever. Everyone here still loves Ford. The picture was funny, but it doesn't mean Toyota is terrible. You can't make a million or so cars a year and not have a few blisters.

I searched, and I researched, and I still don't see it... in the first two pages anyway.

The Explorer was less prone to rollover than its competitors, the only thing Ford did wrong was recomend 25PSI in the tires. Even then, dad ran 35psi in the Firestones, the thing ate 3 sets counting what came on it and two replacement sets from the local Firestone shop (not Ford) and he got disgusted and switched to Goodyears about a month before the recall came out. Luckily he kept the old ones for potential impliment tires and cashed them in.

These "blisters" when they burned everyone else is what made everyone think Toyota was perfect, but when they pump out as many cars as the big guys reality sets in.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they really did...

You read it didn't you?

I got an email today with a runaway lawnmower. The subject line was "Toyota Lawnmower" guy started it, and it immediately took off dragging him behind it. Im sure its on Youtube listed under "runaway lawnmower"

It can't be too bad if designed right, the F-16 has been fly by wire since the mid 70's.
Keep tellin your self its nice haha when it gets to be 20yrs old it sometimes doesnt want to listen to the person controlling it. and the engine is still controlled by a cable so it usually doesn't have auto accel. its the directional surfaces that are fly by wire

And who cares what the heck the engine is doing if you don't have control of the control surfaces... :icon_confused:

It doesn't really matter if it is at idle or WOT if you are stuck in a sharp left turning dive or any other manuever. Either you will quickly crash, or fly in a circle until you run out of fuel and crash.

Throttle cables can get stuck and break at about that same age too. Not to mention the electronics on any engine with some age on it.

mmmmmm, eric you must not be in the military or you prolly wouldn't say that haha. and 85_ranger4x4 thats what i'm saying, they make a point that jets have been using it since the 70's. and it still doesn't listen, you might think they would fix this stuff eventually haha
