THIS IS FOR A TOYOTA.

**** RANGERS, WE'RE TALKIN ABOUT REAL RIGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hi guys, I have been looking around for a cab visor for my 88 for a while now.
Lund has discontinued them and they seem to be super rare now.

Anyway the closest thing I have found to a currently manufactured visor is:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-480086/overview/

That is for 3rd gens, but would it still fit on my second gen? It doesn't have the dimensions so I really don't know.

Thanks guys ;)

Roof shape changed dramatically between the 2nd and 3rd gen trucks. If you can find something for a 1st or 2nd it will work.

Also, that is for a Toyota, so I really doubt it will fit a Ranger at all.

Uhm. You're asking on the wrong website?

In that case I am very very confused and have no idea if it will work or not.

Yesterday I took my truck to the local bicycle shop for an oil change and they said they couldn't help me. Such bad customer service. Needless to say I won't be going back there again.

P.S. That would be a question for the TTORA forum not TRS.

Dunno what's wrong with your bike shop; I've had the U-joints replaced, wiring harness mods installed, and a D28 disassembled at mine.

Maybe it's because I worked there, and I was doing it all on my lunch breaks. :-)

Not to put too fine a point on it, the Toyota Factory Service Manual has a step by step guide when a new visor is needed.

Without going into detail, the jist of what it says is BUY A RANGER, but FSMs usually over do things a bit, even on the simpler projects, but in this case I would follow the FSM recommendation

Well said, Ron, but if everyone drove a Ford then we wouldn't get to laugh at questions like this.

The answers already provided in this thread are probably more useful than could be gotten on the Toyota forum anyway.

Wrong planet yotagirl, point your truck toward uranus and floor it.:icon_thumby:

Yes it will fit. Just need a big drill, 1.5" sheet metal screws, and an STD from your Toyota buddies.

Pretty stupid to insult a whole forum and expect to get an answer.

Not to mention you are putting an unaerodynamic object on a slow turd.
