Towing a small trailer caused a weird problem. Thoughts?

Okay. I have a 2008 4x4 5speed. It only has 70000km (45000miles). It has 3:73 gearing.

I've only owned it for a couple months. The previous owner never towed with it. Yesterday I installed a hitch so I could pick up my 3-500 pound single snowmobile trailer (empty)

It was pulling fine but at one point in 2ND doing about 2-35km the shifter started shaking violently. I shifted into first and it stopped shaking. I then went up a very short steep Hill and on the way down went into second. I then drove in second to pick up my sled, only a out 1/8 mile away from the bottom of the hill.

When I stopped the whole truck was shaking. I looked underneath and transfer case and left exhaust were shaking like crazy. Didn't really look at anything else. Turned it off and started it is a couple seconds later and it ran normally.

I scanned it and no codes.

No idea if it was engine or tranny related. Like I said, the trailer was empty, and it's a tiny trailer.
