Touch drive buttons

occasionally I will start my truck and the 4 lo light will be dimly lit, when I activate the buttons they light up like normal and when I deactivate them the light dims back down. It doesn't seem to effect anything at the moment. I was wondering if the switch might be going bad and if that is the case it engage my t-case randomly?

I would suspect it is more likely that the switch on the case that tells it which light to light is going bad.

Where would that be? On the motor itself?
