Do it right the first time !!!!!!!!!!
I bought my 2004 4/4 ranger new and never ask the stealership why one of the torsion adjustment bolts was so much longer than the other , one side sticks down at least one inch farther than the other . So is this normal or did the factory use different bars or bolts or whatever on my brand new truck ? I now would like to do a a torsion twist and will this screw my day up when I go to do it ? Thanks , 2004 4/4 xlt super cab short bed ,4.0 auto ,all stock as of this question.

If it is driver's side which is in further; it is result of the fuel tank and driver both being on that side. The result is the torsion bar needs to be tighten more to achieve the same result.

And it will limit the total torsion twist you can do; but it shouldn't stop you from being able to achieve the 1.5-2" recommended maximum.

Then I should assume that it is normal , I guess I will have to crawl around the local wally world and look and see . I will go ahead and do the twist and hope that I can get the1.5 lift that I need. Now it all makes sense and I Thank you........Ironman
