Ended up having to buy a new MAF for my 4.0 (it was functioning but the small security bolts on the sensor snapped, then one of the filaments inside broke while I was working on other things).

Anyway, picked up a rebuilt and plan to install it with some cork & rubber gasket roll material between the MAF unit and the air cleaner. Anyone know what the torque setting should be on the four bolts that hold the unit to the air cleaner box? Once again, it’s not in my Haynes manual. I suspect it’s another one of those “tight, but not too tight” deals, but if anyone does know the correct torque setting, I’d love to hear about it. Thanks!

All the MAFs I've played with recently were held to the air filter box with screws that had deep coarse threads and just threaded into the plastic box. In that case "tight enough" might be too much. I would go with "snug".

Of course, my all time favorite torque spec is...

Tighten until it snaps off. Then back off a quarter turn.
