I'm contemplating re-gearing my Ranger to get some better performance on the hi way. Anybody have torque charts for a stock 2000 3.0 ? I'm hoping to match the peak torque to speeds I'd like to drive at. Or at least see the difference in the engine torque numbers when comparing the 3.73 vs a switch to 4.10 gears at various speeds.

Thanks,

Perry

I asked at one time for all the dyno charts people had and then to list any modifications they had just for about the same reason as you. You really don't want the RPM's where the max torque is, the 3.0L is rated at 185lbs/ft at 3750 rpm (1999). If you are running larger tires then maybe the switch to the 4.10's would be good. It does take 50-60 hp just to move thru the wind at 65mph.
