Torn!! Samuarai Or 67 F250

I never had a samuri...your right..ive known people who have had them, and i owned a 66 F250 at one point...so i know what kind of beasts they are.

Maybe i was a little biased...but i would still say the F250...in the end the abilty to add big tires and what not and have the drivetrain be able to handle it will make it a better offroader with better build potential.

....the drivetrain under a suzuki wont hold up to a Good running V8 with 38's.

later,
Dustin

Thats the whole point those light little tanks need nothing more then a weed eater motor to power them. i had a 1979 zuki that i pounded the live snot out of, and my cousin is pounding more out of it still. 2 strong guys can pull them out of the worse stucks and not even break a sweat doing it.

wow seems its about even... think ill keep the 250 and suzuki... all the 67 needs is a carb kit and adjust the clutch and the front hubs i think are blown

Well there you go. Best of both worlds!

well the throttle shaft hole is very worn out yall think i should restore it and buy another carb or get an offy intake a and a 500 cfm 4 barrel?:headbang:

Restore the old girl, get it all dressed up for the prom, and use the zuki for off roading. Keep the old girl looking good.

Got the carb redone, even though there is play in the throttle shaft area. Question is anyone know where I can find things like the stock air cleaner. Also have got all the standard tune-up parts for it today also ordered my petronix kit to replace the points

When you put the petronix in make sure you have REALLY clean contacts or you will burn out the little box.

My uncles '67 F-100 has a oilbath aircleaner on its 300, dunno how hard I would look for one. LMC truck has a book for them like they do Rangers, you might check them out if you want it all original.

Pics would be great... I love old iron :icon_thumby:

no not an ignition box a points replacement. i do not know what came on the 67 but I would like to find out..lmc has nothing for the original air cleaner... it has been rolled and need to find out how to tell if a cab is straight before i spend the cash on a windshield if its not square its a bog truck

Yeah, the little box that goes in the distributer to replace the points.

I have a '67 F-100. They came with an oil bath air cleaner. You don't want one. Just get an open element aftermarket cleaner or if you want factory, the 68 and later trucks used the same assembly as a 390 car.

Ok guys the cab is twisted...bog truck it is. The carb I stated had a lot of play in the throttle shaft...so much so it's causing a vacuum leak. I did drive it today though what a dang tank or tractor dunno which one is better description. I want an opinioin get another 1bbl or get the offy intake and an autolite 4100 4bbl or a edel or holley 500?

I just bought a 1990 Samurai. My first off-roader. Just trying to fix a couple things before I jack it 5" and put some 31's under it.
