I've used a static balancer before, and they work fine. IIRC it can take a little while though, because the tire likes to wobble around a bit.

bubble balancers work fine for large diameter, it's wide rims that they don't work for... because there's inner and outer weights, you should split the weight and place it inside and outside, about 50/50, when you use a 7" wide rim, it won't be noticed as much as a 10" wide...

Good to know. So I guess I probably shouldn't balance a 35" on a 15x10" rim then? Ha.
