long trips by myself.
I thought motorcyclists rode in packs. The chick riding in back can wave to the other riders.
I don't think seating for a girl will be an issue though.
:icon_confused: Whatever-

lol, I don't know anybody else that rides, and every girl I know refuses to get on the back of a bike.

Time to meet some new people, eh?

Nice so far toph. I like the the helmet lock too. I'll be on the look out for new cool stuff you come up with.:icon_thumby:

:icon_cheers: Next on the list is a new rear tire. Anybody want to make a donation to Topher's Rubber Fund?

Hoping to order the tire as soon as I get paid. In the mean time, I figure I'd post up what I had used to adjust the valves.

Kawasaki sells a tool that does the exact same thing and costs $70.

The adjusters are set with a flat head screw and locked with a 9mm nut.

So I just threw a pair of vice grips on a socket and grinded the flared edges off a screw driver so it would fit into the socket.

Pretty simple, but I figured I'd whore it up a bit :)

Updates:

So I ordered everything I'd need to install my new tire and had planned to do it this weekend, but everything except my tire irons arrived. Guess it's gonna get done next weekend. :annoyed:

In other news, I took the bike to the beach this weekend, had a blast doing it. But then something broke on the bike.

Can you see it?

How about now?

That'd be the speedometer cable. I was worried it had snapped but apparently the lock nut had came loose and it fell out of place going down the interstate. Good times indeed. :icon_rofl:

Easy fix, glad I didn't have to buy a new cable. :icon_cheers:

Stay tuned, next weekend you get to see all the stupid mistakes I make attempting to mount and balance my tire.

Meh, you don't need to balance it... It's a rear tire. Just make sure you have lots of soap.

I've heard soap can eat away at the bead and make it leak over time.

So I got this instead.

Do you think that's enough for one tire? I think I should have bought another bottle.

Hmmm, I dunno you may need another one or maybe even two.

That's interesting to hear about soap, I've never had any problems on any of the tires I've mounted up and I've done a few. Now I've heard it can wear away the clear coat on your car, but I read on a bottle of car wash soap, so....

I think your taking to the riding scene nicely. You know how to get a hold of me if you have questions or want some custom LED work done. :icon_thumby:
