Took Off My Sway Bar

Hey mr waffles, my wife has a Big Wheel. Love that thing.

An 86? Yeah there awesome, not fast but can climb anything. But I'm sure her's is in better shape than mine lol. I just realized I have 82 instead of 86, gotta fix that.

Nice! Well mine is really in need of a fix, it sat for about 26 years, surprisingly it runs really well despite and oil leak.

Response to Matuawaffles: Ford discontinued the driver's side splashshield sometime in the 2000's. I also thought mine was missing after I bought my truck used. Have heard that some buy the passenger side splashshield, then flip it around and install on the driver's side. Don't know how this works and whether the holes on the driver's side are a matchup.

That doesn't make very much sense..? Why would you not make a splash guard for the drivers side?

It's and 86, I don't know why I put 82, typo I guess. I don't know how to fix the title of the thread on the non-rbv section.

It's all about the bottom line and Ford being cheapskates. They just decided it wasn't needed cause they wanted to save another $3-$4 per truck.

I don't think mines scary on the highway, and I took both my sway bars off...

I would just pick up the splash shield at the junkyard.

I'll do that, but I'm just going to be on the safe side and put my sway bars back on.

So today I went out and put it back on. But everything tried to kill me, the bar almost fell on my face like 5 times, and the ratchet popped off the socket and hit me in the face. And then I got it on finally and I realized it was on the wrong way.

So I took it off again, and put it back on the right way. I was wondering why the links were sitting akwardly lol. Not very fun, the lesson today kids is to do it right the first time.
