I thought the same thing when I read that early this morning but had to get to work so I couldn't post. Only thing I can figure is he meant was actually flipping the leaf springs over in the shackle and hangars (so the spring is arched like this ^ instead this v) and putting it back on top of the axle, with the block in between. Personally I don't see that working too well either. I was also going to ask where he got the drop spindles.
Maybe he knows about something that none of the Ranger forums out there has info on.
