Which would you prefer? My 03 had a Top O' The Line roll up cover but no liner, my 96 has a drop-in but no cover. Why didn't I keep the tonneau? The 03 had the 7' box, the 96 has the MUCH more common 6' box.

LineX. pure and simple. its a truck... keep it a truck... tonneau's make it an SUV w/ low roof cargo area... but that's just my 2cents!

Yup, I started by Linexing my bed then added the tonneau later on.

I am curious about a spray-on/roll-on, but I am apprehensive due to the permanent aspect of them, lol.

that's kinda the point...

Why? A permanent liner is way easier and protects the bed well.

Yeah, that's true. How about bed mats? Actually had one in the 03 for a while, gripped a lot better than these damn drop-ins.

I have the sprayed in liner and haven't looked back since. (I've had both the sprayed in and drop in liners and I'll never have another drop in again) plastic drop in liners I had shit slid all over the bed. my sprayed in grips the stuff but things do still slide when your slamming on the brakes or pealing out of my driveway,

I kinda like the liners...because things slid, but I have to strap them down usually...

Had a tonneau and it was OK but limited what you can carry...also had a cap and liked that too but it also limits what you can carry...my junk gets wet...but I'm happy with that...:)

Not a fan of caps, I live in an apt. complex, if I wanted to or had to take it off, where would I put it??

I vote liner first, tonneau second if you want it. I did the liner first and liked it, just wish I had gotten a better brand than I did. At the time Reflex had the best price around here so that's what I went with. At that time I wasn't planning to get a tonneau and had it sprayed over the rail. It didn't hold up for shit. Few years ago I picked up a used Undercover Tonneau for $150, and the liner came further down the bed side than the cover did. If I had to do it over again I would go with a good name brand liner (or do it myself) and keep it under the rail.

As it stands I'm slowly peeling the Reflex Liner out, it's turning loose way too easily by the way. Once I have it out I'll have clear coat resprayed on the bed rails, and use a DIY liner in the bed. I recently sprayed Al's Liner on the bottom of the cab of my 86 as undercoating, and really like the way it turned out.
