Todays weather

High today was 99. It's currently 88. The forecast for next Sunday is 106.
Mid 80s with rain off and on all week. Should make for an interesting adventure this weekend.

Rain for 4 days and counting

67 and rain not very summery

it's been overcast and on and off rain for literally ALL MONTH up here.

Finally gonna be sunny for a whole day though.. then cloudy and rain for the remainder of the month

97 that last couple days but the heat index has been around 120.

taking a break from riding today. did 35 miles on my bicycle tuesday and felt fine. did 28 yesterday and feel like crap today. maybe heat exhaustion got me, who knows, but i am not riding today. its only a heat index of 101 right now, which is going to feel like being in front of hte fridge after the last couple days

And that is why I don't think I could ever be a Texan.

I just heard there were some major power outages down there today.

while checking the weather almanac yesterday the record hi for that date was 100 in 1988.
that year was a drought for a lot of the country.
it's been a third of a century since then, I'm still here.

today will be a nice 75 degrees thanks to wind coming off Lake Erie.

There sure could have been some power outages. Of course, our governor and a large number of state representatives have been ought by someone because they keep funding bs wind and solar over fixing what we have. Lots of people have already died in winter and summer from power outages.

They said 4 people died yesterday because they over heated while outside

Looks like day two here in Illinois that we're going to be in the haze of Canadian wild fire smoke.

same in northwest Ohio, southeast Michigan.
brings back fond memories of the 60s in the Detroit down river areas.

Is Canada still burning?

Must be a big place.

in two areas separated by over 1000 miles, 1600km.

Here in the Port Huron area, we're getting a lot of haze and fog-like conditions. Poor air quality is now the new media darling.

To further conspiracy theories, I read a couple of weeks ago that many of these fires occurred at about the same time. There was a map showing where all the different fires were located, worldwide. So it isn't just on this continent.

And I read it on the internet, so it must be true.

I have to go out to the barn now and paint my wood stove in camo so the climate police won't take it away....oh...wait...I forgot...I lost my wood stove in a boating accident. It was terrible.

It's rained almost all G.D month up here.

23 days out of the month It's rained so far.. with rain forecasted until at least Tuesday.

Smoke here in Indy for the last couple of days. Looks like a light fog. Got bad enough yesterday evening to smell, but it’s keeping temps down.
