If you think you've got wind (Santa Ana conditions?) you should try it here on the Oregon coast. High wind events are the norm here in Winter. Today's weather warning:
...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM PST THIS
AFTERNOON TO 5 AM PDT SUNDAY NEAR BEACHES AND HEADLANDS...
* WHAT...South winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
expected near beaches and headlands.
* WHERE...North Oregon Coast and Central Oregon Coast.
* WHEN...From 2 PM PST this afternoon to 5 AM PDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
Seems like a typical day in Chicago...
