Outhouses do smell better/less in the winter

We don’t look, it’s the off gassing. I don’t think it’s making it’s way out the vent pipe. I guess it’s cold too?

yep , supposed to be really cold here tomorrow. No snow in forecast locally though. Got the tractor put back in the middle of the garage so I could get the ranger back under roof. Time to hibernate on the couch & hope THIS dial doesnt drop too low.

I still remember the outhouses at Boy Scout Camp in the '70's. I did not enjoy that chill. And the sink for washing, brushing teeth, etc. Was out there, too. Part of the outhouse. Not my favorite part of winter campouts.
Oh, but that one year when Mr. Newly brought wild ducks and we cooked them on a spit in the fireplace in the cabin. Great memories.
