Todays weather

Hearing your guys lists make me feel a bit better about mine. I've already resigned to the fact that nothing is going to happen this winter... and until I get my arm back to working condition. I have been aquiring parts and pieces though. Just hope my plan comes together this spring.

Between wood prices and the winter weather, my projects have come to a full stop. All the nagging little projects I’ve been putting off have be completed while I was in Covid quarantine. Everything else is outside or requires wood.

was -4 this morning, saw where our old place has new renters. Boy are they in for a rude cold winter. I never could get it above 65 in there when it was below freezing, Theres no heating ductwork to the 2nd floor and the breezeway between house/garage has to be open to the house because the water heater/softner & washer/dryer are there. And- I noticed the plates on the car, they moved here from alabama. Ouch!

It’s 27° today, which isn’t that bad. (I was outside in a tee shirt for about an hour.) But we’ve got a snow storm coming over the weekend... they’re calling for around a foot.

-4, huh? OK, that's just below -20*C. We see -40*C (-40*F) frequently here.

Still, those tenants are in for a rude awakening.

1 degree this morning. Broke out the fleece lined pants and the wool vest.

-8 here. Fleece lined pants for sure. I’m not planning on spending much time outside today so it will just be flannel, zip up hoodie and Carhartt jacket

It's cold enough outside that the humidity INSIDE is freezing to the windows.

At least I'm not working today. Getting tattoos instead.

Makes one glad they don’t have an outhouse...

Today's weather challenge. Ice covered patches on a 9 percent grade with no chains.

How can something with flaming in the name have ice....???

Outhouses are no fun in the winter lol.

For whatever reason though.... if you leave the seat UP in the outhouse much less frost/ice forms on it 🤷‍♀️. Pro tip I guess.

Works that way in other things too. Frost builds up easier on horizontal surfaces it seems.

The one at the hunting camp is a portable porta john with the bottom cut out. As long as the seat cover is left down, frost on the seat isn’t problem.
