70°? We had to set ours to 65° just to afford it. Now we've gotten so use to that temp, any warmer is too warm.It was a cold MFer last night and then this morning the wind came up...stay out of South Dakota if you can.
I got an email from the gas company saying that they are having equipment problems and are requesting everyone cut way back on their gas use. I may have to invest in a wood stove for the house although I'm not sure where to put it.

I always wanted in floor radiant heat. Nice and even.Yeah my gas bill last month was $150. I am sure this month will be significantly more. I keep it set high because the addition on my house only has a couple vents and it's usually 10 degrees colder over there in the winter no matter what. Kids bedroom is over there and they have a space heater running too.
Back in the late 80's, I had a that in a ranch house that was built on a slab in the 50's in Jersey. Gas boiler and galvanized pipe in the floor. Removed the linoleum tile and added carpet. Once I reinsulated the attic, it couldn't be beat for fending off the cold and super toasty. Cheapest heating bills I ever had in my life and I'm an old fart.I always wanted in floor radiant heat. Nice and even.
Pretended I had a fancy new Lightning...

Also totally splattered my ice scraper which was fun.
Started snowing here about an hour ago.
Temps this morning were 30's... but they're dropping quick. Low teens and wind is blowing like crazy.
