been raining here for many many days. almost as soon as they put us on water restrictions, it started raining. and they won't rescind the restrictions. still have more days of rain on weather.com, also

i want the rain to stop and not get fined for using to much water in the shower or washing clothes, or whatever they deem is to much water usage. we are going to get hit for a large bill because they charge us for water running off the yard now. they put it in the water bill because everyone in this town is to dumb to read up on stuff they are voting for and they all ok'd water run off charges.

how the hell can they measure water run off? stupidest crap i have ever heard and i call and complain to the city about it all the time.

You could put in rain barrels to reduce the run off from your property, plus you can use it to water your garden or whatever. Then you will get a fine from the town for stealing their water and depriving them of the revenue from your water bill.......

I can do without rain, but if it has to, late night early morning would be best...

here in Toledo they calculate the run-off areas. roofs & driveways etc .
since the run-off goes to the nearest storm sewer the city uses that as justification for charging us.
I don't like it either.

Do they give people the option to mitigate those costs through infiltration trenches?

Another record breaking day of 115° to 117° temperatures. Hilltops and other areas above the nocturnal inversion had lows in the upper 80s and low 90s. That's when you maked iced coffee to start the morning.

Rained all last night, still raining, supposed to rain all day into tomorrow.
Much needed.

A cubit is the length of your arm from elbow to fingertip. You both may want to get started on building an ark.

In the city I used to live in, they used a flat rate.

After about 3 days of off and on rain, it looks like we’ll get a break. Hopefully the yard will be dry enough to cut this afternoon. The grass has really liked the rain but the yard is looking pretty wooly. I’ll probably need to double cut it in order to get it back into proper shape.

don't know about that.
they do use the entire roof area even though the back half drains into the yard.

they don't give us the option to do anything to get out of it

It finally cooled off. The temperature peaked at 88, then dropped to 81 when it got cloudy. There's some smoke coming and going from the wildfires. The smoke is giving me sinus problems.
