54° this morning, 93° this afternoon.

55° this morning and 93° this afternoon.

It's supposed to warm up over the weekend. 96° tomorrow and up to 104° by Tuesday.

quite a bit cooler here than its been in a few weeks. Fall bugs are out already and I haven’t seen the martins in a few days.

The low was 55°, the high was 106°. It is currently 90° at 9:00 PM. It was too hot to work in the Ranger today, and it is currently too hot to open the windows, and it is going to be warm all night, and start out warm with a low of 70°.

Lately here its been high 50’s/low60’s when I leave for work @ 5:30 but low to mid 80’s by 3pm.
Heat on in the morning, windows down on the drive home.

I could use some of that. Get that high temp just below 80 and it would be heaven.

It was 66° Sunday morning, and got up to 106° Sunday afternoon. The forecast for today is a low of 74° and a high of 113°, with highs in the region ranging from 110° to 115°. Tuesday will be the hottest day in the forecast starting at 78°, which is very warm for a low temperature in Sacramento, then reaching 115°. Highs in the region are forecast to range from 112° to 118°. The high temperatures are forecast to be over 110° till Friday. That's five days over 110°. The previous record was two days. Also keep in mind that it's September and 115° will be a new all time high temperature record in addition to five days over 110° when the record high for September here is 109°, which wouldn't seem so extreme if this were to occur in June, July, or early August when there is a lot more insolation. Don't confuse that with insulation. The weather models are forecasting a rapid cooldown and some rain for next weekend. San Diego may also see some rain from the remnants of Tropical Storm Kay the following week as several troughs beat back the Pacific high and bringing some rain to Northern California which will progress eastward bringing some fall weather to the Great Basin. That's what the weather models are suggesting at this time.

We haven't turned off our AC for over 5 days now with 5 more days in store. I've been in Elk Grove since 1987 and can't recall ever having a heat wave like this. We seldom have to run the AC at night since the delta breeze is pretty dependable. Had lunch in Jackson yesterday, it was a virtual ghost town for a holiday weekend due to the heat. It's almost too hot for the pool if you get out of the water for more than a few minutes.

110+ temperatures were also the exception here, and in much hotter places like Fresno and Bakersfield. But, those temperatures are seeing those temperatures every summer, and multiple times over the summer.

It’s been a mild summer here. Some pretty hot days, 90+, but we have not got almost any rain. Last year was so humid I didn’t spend much time outside, this year has been pretty nice.

Today was humid because it rained last night. If you weren’t working it wasn’t bad though.

Our rain has been about where it's supposed to be. A little on the high side but pretty evenly distributed. Our average is about 33 inches of rain per year.

117° today. The previous record for September is 109°. The all-time record was 114°.

Rained all last night, still raining, supposed to rain all day into tomorrow.
Much needed.
