Look on the bright side. I heard yesterday that this will be all finished in another 6 weeks.

snowing & blowing. hard to tell how much, id guess 3-4 with up to 11 expected. plowed drive once already 2 hours ago & can barely tell. Icy drive underneath. I may very well consider some chains for next winter. Thats going to be expensive. Have to go pick up my other half from her work at 4. glad I was able to drive her today. Its in the low 20’s right now.
I got a set of chains from www.tirechains.com years ago and they were reasonably priced and quality, made in PA if I remember right

I’ll have to check into it. my tractor rears are 11.2-28’s I think. Thats a lot of tire chain. The ag cleats do nothing on ice. Thanks for the tip. 👍

11-12" over 30 hours here in northwest Ohio. cleaned the driveway 3 times, another 3-4 came down since the last cleaning.
drove around a bit today, in my humble opinion there is no way the roads should have been as bad as they were.
more equipment would have kept the main roads in much better shape.

I wonder where all the plow money went?

Same problem here in Illinois...

Hasn't snowed since yesterday and the roads are still in really bad shape. With not a single truck that I saw out doing any clean up work.

The roads should be fairly snow free by may most of the time ...

it was 15 degree out (wind chill) when i left for work at 0515. the doors were frozen shut and the steps from the house were ice the whole way down. luckily it didn't rain any or we would have been snowed in and probably without power, again. it would have been a repeat of last year, here in south texas.

this year i have a 10k generator and a few propane tanks though

We got about 2” of snow over the ice. I was pleasantly surprised that most of the ice came up pretty easy this morning when I cleared the front walk and driveway approach. I heavily salted the walk and approach and left for work.

Some butt hole in a GMC obviously had a pressing need to be somewhere and rode dangerously close to my tailgate. Zoomed right on by once I pulled over in the slow lane. I made sure to signal to him that he was number one in my book.

I have ripples of ice from the flowing water across the parking lot. Truck is iced over but luckily no snow yet. The trees are getting a good ice coating right now so I'm hoping no power outages before this is over. Having electric heat sucks when the power goes out in the winter, although I have plenty of warm clothes and blankets if need be.

Havent been out of the house yet, at 7 last night I got word that my work day was canceled. I can see some drifting out the windows, nothing more than waist high at the most but Im sending this picture to my family just to be funny:

Yeah, I'm not going to try to go to work until about 11:00. Wife has my Ranger a couple counties away dealing with her folks' health issues and I have her minivan due to a series of vet appointments for our one dog. Minivan has four Blizzaks though and it goes pretty good. Ice sucks though, not much you can do.
