whew, just got back in the house from cleaning the driveway. I definitely will invest in some tire chains. Worst drift was in front of garage doors. Thought about driving tractor to my parents but thats a good 8 miles. no place to park trailer if I were to trailer it. Even with gloves a few of my fingers get painfully cold. supposed snowfall here was 8-1/2”. hard to know with all the wind, half the yard is bare ground and most of the driveway was knee deep, go figure.

Stayed above freezing last night, poured rain all night. Ground is frozen enough that everything just pooled up on top, yard is a swimming pool.

Supposed to drop back down to the teens over the day and stay there for the week end.

Its about to be a mess here, been over 40 the last few days, rained all day today, no snow anywhere, but now theres high water and temperatures are dropping. supposed to be below freezing next few days.

We were 57 yesterday and had a little rain. Got cold over night and started snowing about noon. Been snowing sideways ever since. There is a huge (was told 100 car) plie up just south of the house on 39.

52 at breakfast, 32 at mid afternoon. the day started with rain then 1" of sleet and now it's snowing.

I like to catch the daily almanac stats on the evening news.
over the last week when "climate catastrophy" was rearing it's ugly head on 2 days the record high temps were well into the upper
sixties and set over 92 and 100 years ago. I guess this warm weather in northern Ohio is nothing out of the ordinary.

FYI the record lows tend to be more recent than the record highs.

got up this morning to snow cover and a weird crunchy sound- two deer across the road were breaking through the thin ice. was only the one left by the time I found my phone & glasses. Saw the windmill wheel looked different so I went out & stopped it. I think the water receded off the road as a few cars have gone by.

High 50s yesterday and half of today, back to freezing later today through the weekend, then 40s-50s for next week.

January thaw came late this year.

Was in the 50s the past couple days, rained all day yesterday and changed to snow last night. We got a dusting and it’s still flurries. Creek is presently at the top of the bank in the backyard was higher last night
