Hey guys, i got a dilemma here. I got 2 Bronco II's one is an 88 EB Edition Auto, and the other is an 89 Bronco II with the 5spd. The 89 has cracked heads, my oil is like a milk shake and i've got plenty of snot on the cap. The heads are about $319 and who knows how much the labor will be? I paid $1500 for the rig and it ran good for about 6 months should i buy the parts and fix the heads?

My 88 has a rebuilt engine in it the only thing is it hadn't been started since 01. I bought it from a guy for $300 it just need a fuel pump, put the fuel pump in cleaned the gas tank it started right up. Then changed all the fluids out and took it for a drive. Well the flex plate blew. So i put a new flex plate in it and also a new torque converter. So i put about $250 bucks in it. Drove it off and on for acouple days and then the oil dummy light came on. Then it started to get the lifter tick. Now it needs a new oil pump. Should i fix it? I know you either have to drop the tranny or pull the engine just to change the pump. What do you guys think?

Here is the 88 and the 89.

The 89 Paid $1500 now has cracked heads...debating to fix?

If it were me, I'd fix the oil pump in the 88 to drive it, While I look for a first gen exploder and swap the 4.0 engine, and M50D tranny, 8.8 rearend, and D35 front end, oh yeah don't forget the Tansfer case, to put into the 89.

I would like to point out that neither of those appears to be a second gen B2, thus making neither of them an 89.

I would fix the red one and sell it and put the money in upgrades in the other one.

Because of the headlight design wouldn't they be '84-85 or so?
Both look in pretty good shape.

84-88...

agreed, find a 4.0 drivetrain and axles and all... swap it out. keep the gen 1 dash tho! lol its easier to swap dashes to.

and then donate the black one to me!
