New guy here, a little embarrassed to ask this question in a room full of pros, but no pain, no gain.
I replaced my 94 2.3 with another 94 2.3. This one is from a Mazda, and has a camshaft position sensor on the side of the block below the intake manifold.
My other engine has it blocked off. Do I leave this thing unplugged, or take it out?
The wiring harness that came with the engine has a line that plugs it in, the original does not, both harnesses are in good shape so no harm either way. I just don't want to damage this engine because I was ignorant to the facts. This truck has been good to me, and I want to do the same for it.
Hey, she went 250,000 plus pulling a trailer with 3.45 rear end gears before she cracked a valve on #3. Y'all would be in love too, I've read all 78 pages of posts!
Thanks in advance if someone knows about this unusual situation.
