So I was browsing around on CraigsList today, and I found a set of decently new 36" superswampers with a ton of meat left on em for 500 bucks. They're selling the chevy 16.5" rims with them. I called the guy, and one of the tires has been knifed, so it's a set of 3 tires. He said he'll sell them seperate from the rim if the price is right.

I don't need the 36s yet, but if I can get them for cheap...

What would be a good offer to make on a set of 3 used 36" super swampers?

I'd also have to pay to have the tires taken off the wheels...

What do you all think?

Stay away from 16.5s, the beads suck on them (can't air down at all without them slipping off)

1. I don't know that you would find 16.5" wheels with the right bolt pattern.
2. The 98+ front end will grenade very quickly with 36" Swampers unless you're planning that SAS real soon.

I'd say take a pass.

Spend that money on a locker (or 2), IMHO itll be more capable with 33s and a locker than open diffs and 36s...

Thanks for the input guys. I decided to pass. Finding a 4th with the same amount of tred would be a bitch.

And, the SAS is a ways away. Damn.

Thanks tho
