Hello all
Does the TK5 have a plate on the bottom of the transmission? I seem to remember reading it did somewhere. I need to clean out the remains of my shifter bushing and if it does indeed have a plate on the bottom that should make it easy.
Should it have a plate, can it be removed safely without anything imporatant coming out? What would be the best transmission oil for this trans?
Been a LONG day. Gave my son my old 84 Bronco 2 with the 4 speed. Towed it to his house and when leaving his house my rear end in my 1990 F150 4X4 locked up. Only 30+ miles from home. Freaking COLD here so got to enjoy the 25 to 30 MPH winds at 30 degrees F out on a country road laying under it taking the drive shaft off.
Putting my TK5 shifter in tomorrow thanks to Destroyer000! BIG THANKS!
Thanks for all the info!
Marvin
