2004 mustang 16x7 wheels. Is 225 the biggest tire I can use on my 88 ranger?

I've seen guys run 305/75R16 (34in tire) on OEM 16x7. I myself am running some 285/75R16 (33in tire).

As for vehicule application, it all depends if your 16x7 wheel has any offset or not, if you're running a set of wheel spacers or not. Also, the 1988 Ranger had optional 235/75R15 tires.

Seller says offset is 30-50. Don't know if that's a guess or what. Going to take a look at them tomorrow. Will find out then I guess.

Got wheels today. They are 35mm offset. Is that good ? Backspace is 5"

Had the wheels checked today. They are 16x7.5. 5.5 backspace which makes it 38 mm offset. Will these fit my 88 stock ranger? Or will I need spacers? Or do i need to sell them? Opinions please

You have the wheels, you have the truck. You put the wheels on the front hubs, rotated steering wheel all way to left, checked for clearance, rotated all way to right checked for clearance.

You answered your own question on whether they fit or not.

Where do those of us on ether of internet add anything?
