I have a '03 Level II, as most of you probably know is factory equipped with 31x10.50x15 BFG TAs. The Ranger now has 105k miles and has gone through 2 sets of TAs. That seems ok to me mileage wise but they have always been noisey on the road (99% of my driving). You REAL off road guys can insert laughter here.
A tire friend recommended Cooper Discovery AT-3 s.
The first thing I noticed was deep tread. Secondly, the noise level is quite lower than the TA s.
I have driven about 300 miles now that included some heavy Pacific Northwest rain and mini lakes on the highways. No problems. The snow is coming though as is some back country exploring.
The one item that did bother me was the amount of weight each tire took to balance. The TA s didn't require much in comparison.
I'll post any problems that might come up. Just thought y'all might be interested. Side bar: I'm finding that those who post on here are way more knowlegeable than I. Felt a need to contribute.
