Okay so I've got these rims on my ranger:

it's a 1997 2WD Supercab 2.3L 4cyl 5-spd
I don't want to buy new rims, and I want to get some new tires. The tires in the picture are almost worn out now (old pic). They say they are P225/70R14. I've been looking around and apparently my only three options for tire sizes are 225/70; 215/70; and 195/70, is that correct? My ranger never leaves the road so...yeah....
Any suggestions or comments? Are there other sizes available for these rims or are those three the only ones? I am after optimal gas mileage and affordability...if that can be had.... The 195 size tires are going to be significantly thinner (less wide), correct? I mean if I understand it correctly that's 30 less millimeters per wheel of tread and a total of 120mm less available surface area...do I really want that? I don't tow anything but I do sometimes put some heavy stuff in the bed.
What about places to have them installed? Walmart? Pep-Boys? Sears? NTB? Big 10? etc.? Which do you guys recommend? Walmart's the cheapest it looks like but do they do a sufficient job?
Thanks,
Red
