I have a stock 84 BII. I would like to know what's the biggest size tire I can get under it. I have already trimmed the fenders a little.:rockon:

Firstm thing to think about is changing the gear ratio so that little engine can work as good as it does now with them new tall tires on there. Tall tires make a huge difference in power and wear on the vehicle...unless the gear ratio is changed at the same time.

I have stock 3.73 gears. What would be better for say a 32" tire. Stock dana28/f 7.5"/rear.

of course chance says a sawzall and sledgehammer says it cures everything. at least a 4.10 would be appreciated by your truck when you do 33s

The guy has the little engine. I'd advise 4:88 gearing with them tall tires.

Because it does :icon_twisted:

If you're trying to fit 33's, I'd do a 4" lift and some fender trimming just to be safe (is that better guys?) with 4.56 gears. 4.88's would be way too deep imo... the 2.9 has more torque lower down than say the 3.0 which would pry do great with too deep of gears as it needs to wind out.
