Good day to all,

First time using this site, and based on the info I have seen- it certainly will not be the last.

My first question should be somewhat simple. I now have a 1983 ranger, single cab. This is going to be my car show truck this year. Due to the custom paint job the manufacturer sticker is long gone, so all I know based on internet info is that it came with 14'' tires. My question is, there is currently bronco rims on the truck that are 15's. The issue I have is that when I cut the wheels hard, the tires are rubbing on the inside shock tower. Does anyone have a suggestion for a 15'' size that will not rub?

Thanks

Sounds like the wheels have the wrong offset. 205-75-R15 is as narrow as you can go without going a lot shorter. Backspacing should be 3.5" to 4" is the most it should be.
Also check the front end parts to make sure they are good. It could also be that the alignment is bad. finally check the turning stops that limit how far the tire can turn, it might be letting the tire turn to far when you try to turn real sharp.

The rims are off a bronco, so the offset is probably the issue. Im not sure what year bronco, but they're aluminum. I'll have a look to see if I can find the measurement stamped somewhere.

Thanks
