Tire size

Ok I have a 1990 Ranger 4x4 with Dana 28 front axle and a 7.5 rear, everything is stock right now. So I have a 15" rim... What tire size could I go up to without any issues? 30", 31" etc... Stock size is 215/75r15

I wouldn't go any bigger than 30s on a D28 axle myself. If you leave the stock open diff in it and drive like grandma, you may be able to get away with 32s or 33s for a short while.
The 7.5" rear should be fine for most uses with the 33s however.

Anything bigger than 30s is probably going to require a small bit of fender trimming as well if you're not lifted at all.

I had 31's and a 28 worked great i'm easy on it and they weren't real aggressive tires.Put an aggressive set of 10.5 33's on it kept eating outer u-joints put in a 35 been fine.Also had a lock-right installed in the 28.

Thx guys but I decided I will stay with the stock size until I get upgraded....I have enuff issues to deal with on this truck for right now...LOL...Thanks for the help.

I'm running 32 10.50 15 bf at on my all drive line 89 I had a problem with the stock u joints before I changed to the 32 but I went to the advance auto got the up grade u joints no probem they rub a bit on the sway bar but other then that she is great and still rips the tires off with under powered 2.9
