My Ranger is a '94 4x4. Stock tires are either 215 75 15 or 235 75 15. It has 235s on it right now (Goodyear Wranglers), and I'd like to go up a size, but don't plan on doing any spacers or lift stuff to the suspension...

I'm thinking either Cooper AT3s or BFG All Terrains in a 255 70 15 or 265 70 15. Can I go up that big and still not have rubbing when I turn?

The reasoning behind 70 instead of 75 is that I'd like to go wider, but don't need more height and don't want to throw the speedo/odo off too much. Thanks in advance for any tips!

The Rat is pretty much the same truck as yours. The 235 75s are just right. OK over the road and OK on the beach. Going wider is gonna cost you in purchase price and MPG. Just my 2 cents. The Rat is fugly, but I like the deerfoots. with the 235 75s :D

my "summer tires" on my 94 are 255/70/15's, there the same height as a 235/75/15, just a wider tire. have them on the stock deer paw rims, just rub slightly on the sway bar at full lock, doesnt hurt a thing. 265's would be even wider, be more expensive too. right now i have my winter set on, 235/75/15's rear, 215/75/15's on the front. on jeep wrangler steel wheels

30x9.50x15 is a size to consider too. They are about an inch taller and just a hair wider than 235-75-15. I've had the same set on my '88 Ranger and now on my '92 Explorer - with factory wheels I don't think they would rub at all on yours.

Speedo is easy to fix with a calculator and then the appropriate $5 gear.

I used to run 31-10.5-15 BFG AT KOs with no lift on my 94 no rubbing. I have a 2” lift now and run 32-11.5-15
